The musher's pre-race banquet is being held at the Prairie Rose Inn and Convention Center on March 6.  There is a block of rooms reserved there also.  Room cost is $68.00 per night.  The rooms are available at this rate until Feb 6, 2009.  The finishing banquet will be located at the Halstad Lutheran Church on March 8. 

The pre-race banquet menu is baked chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, corn, tossed salad, dinner roll, and coffee or water.  Price is $15.00 per person.

The race finish banquet will be held at the Halstad Lutheran Church.  The menu is Meatballs, mashed potatoes, vegetable, bread, dessert, and coffee.  The price will be $10.00 per person.  Tickets will be sold at the musher check in prior to vet checks.

During the race, food will be served at the Halstad American Legion by the Girl's JO. Food to be served includes:

• Pancakes, sausage, juice, coffee
• Breakfast tacos (scrambled eggs & sausage on tortilla) with self serve topping bar to include shredded cheese, salsa & ranch dressing
• Coffee & juice

March 7

• 7:00 am Race Staging/meet the mushers in Halstad, MN
• 7:30 am Volunteer Meeting at the race staging area
• 9:45 am Opening Ceremonies at Halstad American Legion Building
• 10:00 am Race Start at Halstad American Legion Building
• 2:00 pm teams begin to arrive in Belmont Park (Frog Point) - Buxton, ND
• 4:30 pm* teams begin to arrive in East Grand Forks, MN
• 9:30 pm* teams may start to depart East Grand Forks, MN

March 8

• 1:30 am* teams will start to arrive in Belmont Park (Frog Point) - Buxton, ND
• 9:00 am* teams will start to arrive for the Halstad finish
