Sunday - 8:47am Don Galloway has been officially declared the winner. Don crossed the finish line at 8:20:20am. Sunday - 8:43am Amanda Vogel has reached Frog Point and is scratching from the race. Sunday - 8:30am The unofficial winner of the race is Don Galloway.
Sunday - 7:35am Butch Austin and his team have finally reached Frog Point. Sunday - 7:12am Word on the trail is that Amanda Vogel may be scratching soon due to dog difficulties. Sunday - 6:46am Matt Groth just arrived in Frog Point. Sunday - 6:42am Tom Bauer, Neil Rasmussen and Harry Lambirth are back on the track after serving out rest periods. Leading musher of could enter Halstad around 8:30am race time. Sunday - 6:21am Keith Peppler and his team are on their way to Halstad from Frog Point. Sunday - 6:18am Tom Benson has left FP for Halstad. Sunday - 6:10am Jerry Bath has scratched his team from the race. Sunday - 6:06am Tom Benson, Harry Lambirth, and Neil Rasmussen have arrived in Frog Point. After serving varying mandatory rest periods, they will depart FP and head on to Halstad for the final leg of the race. Sunday - 5:43am Five teams are now on the trail between Frog Point and Halstad. They are Don Galloway, Matt Rossi, Rob Greger, Mike Bestgen, Frank Moe and Tim Calhoun. Word from along the trail is that Amanda Vogel is having some difficulities getting her dogs to cooperate. Sunday - 3:47am Officials are busy calculating departure times from Frog Point. Teams will begin heading towards Halstad on the final leg of the course within the next 45 minutes. Sunday - 3:23am Butch Austin has departed from EGF. All teams have left the EGF check point. All teams are either enroute to Frog Point or serving mandatory rest breaks at Frog Point. Sunday - 3:04am Odin Jorgenson and his team of dogs have departed from EGF. Sunday - 2:44am Race times and information as of 2:42am is now available for download. Sunday - 2:39am Tom Bauer and his dog sled team can leave Frog Point on the final leg to Halstad at 5:57:28am; this will complete their rest and differential requirements. Sunday - 2:15am Harry Lambirth has left EGF heading southward on the Red River towards FP. Sunday - 2:12am Frank Moe has arrived in Frog Point. Tom Bauer has also arrived in Frog Point. Sunday - 2:08am Rob Greger and his dogs have departed from EGF. They will be in Frog Point within 2.5-4 hours. Sunday - 2:04am Jerry Bath has just left EGF on the return trip to Frog Point. Sunday - 1:58am Twelve teams have left East Grand Forks on the return leg to Frog Point; ten are still on the river. Keith Peppler is the second musher to reach Frog Point. With the required rest time, he will be able to leave 5:59:20am. Sunday - 12:22am Don Galloway will be able to leave Frog Point at 4:40:19am. Saturday - 10:14pm Race time and information as of 10:11pm is now available for download. Note: these times are not 100% official and will be verified at the race finish. Also, certain leg times may be incorrectly calculated due to missing or incomplete information. Information will be added as it becomes available from the checkpoints. Saturday - 10:08pm Three teams have left EGF at this point. Teams will begin reaching Frog Point sometime after 1am. Most of these teams will be making required rest stop periods at Frog Point. Saturday - 8:45pm Don Galloway has just left East Grand Forks, heading back towards Frog Point. Saturday - 8:34pm Race times and information as of 8:14pm is now available for download. Saturday - 7:36pm The ninth musher of the evening has passed the bridge going into East Grand Forks. Saturday - 7:00pm Most teams are in or near East Grand Forks. It appears that one team, Katherine Manderfield, has not left Frog Point at this time. Official times will be up within the hour. Saturday - 6:17pm Harry Lambirth and his dogs crossed under the Lincoln Park bridge on his way to the checkpoint. Saturday - 5:58pm Jerry Bath has just past the Lincoln Park bridge into Grand Forks. He should arrive at the checkpoint very soon. Saturday - 5:54pm Musher Peter McClelland has reached Grand Forks! Saturday - 5:33pm Based on updated speeds and time trajectories, we anticipate the first team will reach Grand Forks very soon! Saturday - 4:51pm Mushers have been passing the Thompson bridge on the way to Grand Forks. Saturday - 4:08pm Musher and race time statistics for the first leg are now available. As a side note, we will not be observing the switch to daylight saving time during the race. All times will be given pre-light daylight saving time. Saturday - 3:14pm Neil Rasmussen recently headed northward from Frog Point. Saturday - 3:10pm John Fisher and his dogs have departed from Frog Point on their way to East Grand Forks. Saturday - 3:02pm Harry Lambirth has left the first check point. Saturday - 3:00pm Jerry Bath has left Frog Point. Saturday - 2:55pm Reports are that Butch Austin has just left the Frog Point Checkpoint. Saturday - 2:49pm Odin Jorgenson has just passed the scout team at Climax. Saturday - 2:43pm Matt Groth has reached Climax, MN. Saturday - 2:39pm Keith Peppler and his dogs have passed the bridge on their way to Frog Point. Saturday - 2:33pm Peter McClelland is leading the race up to this point. Saturday - 2:29pm Charlie LaBoda and his team have just passed the bridge near Climax. Saturday - 2:18pm Mushers Frank Moe, Katherine Manderfield, Harry Lambirth have all just passed the bridge. Saturday - 2:13pm Mushers Rob Greger and Tim Calhoun have just passed the scouting team at the Red River bridge near Climax, MN. Saturday - 2:03pm Mike Bestgen and Peter McClelland have passed Climax. Saturday - 1:59pm Jerry Bath, John Fisher, and Tom Bauer have passed Climax. Saturday - 1:57pm Butch Austin has passed the bridge. Saturday - 1:53pm Amanda Vogel has just passed Climax. Saturday - 1:50pm Tom Benson has arrived at Frog Point. Saturday - 1:47pm Musher Matt Rossi and his team have just passed the Climax bridge. Saturday - 1:35pm Musher Tom Benson and his team have passed the Climax bridge within the past 3 minutes. Saturday - 1:24pm Video from the start of the race is now available. Saturday - 12:56pm Vet. techs are reporting that several teams are past Nielsville. We expect the first teams to reach Frog Point within several hours. Saturday - 11:54am All mushers left Halstad at the scheduled time, with the exception of Katherine Manderfield. She left Halstad at 10:58am instead of her scheduled time of 10:21am. As of this time, all mushers are still on the trail. Saturday - 11:23am Photos from the start of the race are now online. Click here to view the gallery Saturday - 11:19am Musher Harry Lambirth fell from his sled after coming onto the Red River. Snowmobilers were able to get to the dogs and Harry.
