The Red River Sled Dog Derby route offers many breathtaking views, allowing spectators to have a front-row seat to the race. The times posted below are based on previous races.

Favorite Viewing Spots

• 9:00am-9:30am :: Race Start - Halstad, MN
• 9:05am-9:35am :: Highway 200 bridge west of Halstad, MN
• 10:45am-11:45am :: Highway 13 bridge west of Shelly, MN
• 11:45am-12:45pm :: County Road 1 bridge west of Nielsville, MN
• 12:45pm-1:45pm :: County Hwy. 21/County Rd. 7 bridge west of Climax, MN
• 1:00pm-2:00pm :: Belmont Park, ND
• 4:00pm-6:00pm :: County Hwy. 9/County Rd. 7 bridge east of Thompson, ND
• 5:00pm-8:00pm :: Lafave Park in East Grand Forks, MN*

*Mushers and their teams will leave East Grand Forks, MN (Lafave Park) at different times overnight. The next best opportunity for viewing teams will be at the race finish in Halstad on Sunday from about 8am to 10:30am.
